as stated for about the 1000th time now, it doesnt give you a guide, it just says the files to edit are here, or here.

There used to be a proper thread on there forums.. guiding you step by step, an idiot proof guide. simply stating "Order form templates can be found in the folder templates/orderforms." means swot.

As there are many many different lang's taht your files can be in suuch as
html
shtml
php
pearl
python
asp

I really do not see how a complete and concise guide as you state could be written - As you did see it - You should have copied it.

The first thing that you need to do is create a backup of a current skin. This will be located at:

path-to-whmcs\templates\default

Now once you are done with that you can start modifying your file. I recommend that you modify your backup and just change the template to view your changes and testing.

The templates are written using smarty. Knowing this, you should go read up on the tag structure of smarty. Here is a link to a quick start guide:

http://www.smarty.net/crashcourse.php

As far as scripting goes, I know that you can embed PHP in to smarty files, I have never tried embedding asp, so I can not speak for that. If you want to embed php in to a template file, you need to replace the "<?php" and "?>" with "{php}" and "{/php}" respectively.

When you are done modifying the file you can go in to whmcs as the administratrator and change the skin by going to:

Configuration => General Settings

You will see a drop down box that lists all of the templates that you have installed (uploaded to the templates directory)

I hope that this helps, it certainly is enough to get you started.

Mike
