DNS Records and GLUE?! Not sniffing glue but DNS GLUE
Alright, I have an issue and happens to be with my university. The University of Cincinnati ( www.uc.edu).
There an issue resolving domain names while in the UC Network. The DNS record looks up to par but could the lack of DNS GLUE cause an issue in resolving the name. Since there is no glue it would force another DNS lookup, but what if the second lookup never gets looked up?
Here check out my DNS info stuff for my student group at http://www.intodns.com/uc-itsa.org
So, Comet server (comet.myserverhosts.com) does not have GLUED DNS Records. More info on DNS GLUE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_...d_glue_records
It is a flakely matter and does not always occur!!! half the time i can get to uc-itsa.org behinds UC's network and another half i cannot. ::scratches head::
im definitely sniffing glue if i didnt before!
UPDATE: I think it can cause issues, which can be found under "Gluelessness" at URL http://cr.yp.to/djbdns/notes.html
