For everyone who may of been following this saga, I just wanted to update you on my success.
Me, with my 20 hours worth of website inexperience was able to achieve what tech support couldn't do. First let me give you some background information. My RVSiteBuilder project vanished one day and all of my backup copies were corrupt. I asked tech support to restore it for me and after a long time, they eventually told me that the files could not be restore because they were corrupt. I asked what options did I have and the only option I was told I had was to rebuild my entire site from scratch . I thought this was odd. I found it impossible to believe that my website was out there and there was no way to download those files and use them to have access to my site.I originally wanted my RVSiteBuilder project restored but also inquired about other options that would give me access to my site. Unfortunately, I was given the impression that there we no options. So I took it upon myself with my zero experience to proove tech support wrong.....and i did it If you have the same experiences as I did and tech support tells you that your files are corrupt and there is nothing they can do for you, don't worry, I have the solution that tech support doesn't know about. I loaded Dreamweaver 8 onto my pc. Then I set up FTP through Dreamweaver to access my site and now I'm able to access my site and make all of the changes I want and it's much easier than RVSiteBuilder. Apparently tech support doesn't know about this option or I'm sure they would of simply stated this as a simple alternative to the flawed RVSitBuilder. This was my first website ever and I don't know an HTML from a hole in the wall but I accomplish what tech support couldn't do.

I don't mean to sound rude or crude but perhaps support didn't understand what you wanted. When I first started I didn't know HTML or what a FTP client was or how to use it. Apache was a mystery. I found some good teaching websites and learned, as did all of us here. I very much doubt support would tell anyone to buy Dreamweaver or any other package as that would constitute an endorsement. I am sure support did not know that you did not know how to edit your files in notepad or even that you did not know how to use the editor in the cPanel filemanager. Even in the early days I never blamed support (here or elsewhere) for my limited knowledge as it seems only reasonable that people building web pages take the time to understand the systems involved. The sole issue with support may be RVsitebuilder (which I have never used) was in fact corrupt and they could not reload it. They would have every reason to believe that you could use the other tools. It is not the job of support to teach us how to build and run a website. Sorry if that sounds rude.
