Help Joshua?

Hiya Folks

I've been all over hotscripts and Google today, but havent' found what I'm looking for, so I thought I'd ask you guys. I need like a little stand a lone program to sit on my desktop, that I can easily add things to, sort of like a shopping list. No fancy design needed, just something easy and can run easily.

Any ideas?

hello Joshua, do you mean something you can use to put note or record some temporary information? If so, google desktop can do it for sure.

Huauren - Isn't google desktop bad on the memory? Never tried it, just going off what I heard.

If you want REALLY simple, a file called "notes.txt", opens in notepad.

... or ... Excel with some simple Visual Basic scripts for searching the BIG lists.

Yah I've done notepad, simplified, this would just be a widget on my desktop basically where I add some crap, then remove it with one click.

What OS do you run.
I use Ubuntu, it comes with a program called Tomboy Notes already installed. The program is similar to having post-it notes (Sticky Notes) on your desk.
Is this the kind of software that you are after.

I think there is also a similar program for Windows XP, not sure if it will run on Vista though.
I will have a look to see if I can find it for windows.
