Default About Shoping Carts

Could someone tell me whether you can set up and test a shpg. cart prior to publishing it to the web server?

I would like to work with Agora Cart to set up an online store, but at present I haven't set up the actual store or domain. Having never set up a store I want to do it as a trial first, prior to going through the server.

I posted this question on Agora Carts forum, but haven't received any replies yet.

You can always setup a local test server on your machine. I can't remember the name of the one I use but there are programs that will install everything you need including Apache and MySQL to test it on your computer. Doing a quick google search should help.

Thats for Linux, I am talking about for windows. I did a google search and found it. This installs apache, php, phpmyadmin, and mysql in one package.

Thank you both. I was just looking it up as well. I found Wampserver, Apache Friends and Cent OS as well. I'm about to look into them right now. Thank you for the input

xampp from Apache friends is very easy to install. You can control which to start and stop via a simple control panel.
