Default HowTo: SpamAssassin spam box

If you've configured your cPanel hosting account to use the "Spam Box" feature of SpamAssassin (using Mail -> SpamAssassin -> Enable Spam Box), mail identified as spam will be placed in a folder called "spam" in your account. However, because of the way our webmail system and other IMAP-based mail reading clients work, you will not immediately see the "spam" folder in your folder listing to view - you have to "Subscribe" to it.

To do this in our Squirrelmail webmail program:

1. Visit the Webmail interface
2. Click on "Folders" at the top
3. Under the "Unsubscribe/Subscribe" area at the bottom, highlight the "spam" folder option, and click "Subscribe"

This will add the spam folder to your list of available message folders.

You can also use your outlook express...

Email login will be either username/spam with your password or useranme@domain.com/spam with your password.
