Creating a web hosted Subversion repository

The version control software Subversion appears to be installed and functional, along with svnadmin, but I believe the key part preventing me from creating a web hosted Subversion repository is missing: the ability to modify the httpd.conf or add one specifically for Subversion. I'm new to HostNine (literally 36 hours new, of which my account has only been active for about 15 hours), so I may not know the proper way of adding Subversion support to the Apache config yet. I've already bothered the support team quite a bit today, and I'm hesitant to open yet another ticket to get this in.

So, I'm turning to the community... First, is it possible to make changes to the Apache config files by adding files to the etc directory in my home directory? Second, is it possible to restart the server manually? (I've been curious about that all day.)

I don't have an answer for you, but am also very interested in getting access to Subversion via hostnine, currently I do it locally but it would be great to have it accessible outside my lan.

You will not have access to these here at hostnine. This would be a huge flaw in security if it was possible.



Also at this time we do not support Subversion on any shared/reseller server.
