Would like ot get some opinions.

I started redesigning my website http://www.jntdesigns.com While its a long way from complete, I want to get your opinion of it so far, do you think its too much, too hard to read, etc. I like constructive criticism. I used to know flash a lot better years ago, but so much has changed in it, and I'm learning it again.

Once you get into your site I think it is different, in a nice way
But as it is loading I was thinking 'how long will this take?' I almost closed the screen before it finished loading. Have you tried having your JNT Designs image load at the same time as the rest? maybe I'm just picky, lol..... I love images like your background there, but being forced to read text in the face of the setting sun was hard on my eyes. If you only had a similar image with it off to the right in the margin there.
It doesn't scale to a users screen size.

Are you on Dial-up? with Road Runner takes about 2 seconds to download. DSL probably about 10. Just curious.

Thanks, I'll probably end up changing the background image, as its pretty easy to do.

As far as the scalling, I wanted it that way so the sections and font won't be distorted when viewing, so the only thing that scales is the background. The rest is set for about 1024x768

After viewing the page source, I can see that there is nothing for a search engine to spider. No text, No content.

Flash is definitely a gorgeous medium to work in, but incorporate it into the site, not construct the site entirely from flash.

Lol yeah, the source code will be changed later on to include text for search engines. Of course since I'm now with HostNine and their service is pretty decent I'm going to have to incorporate it with a forums and Modernbill so I may have to rethink the whole idea.

I just wish there was a easy way to set a background picture to be 100% x 100% I've seen it done but can't figure out for the life of me how to do it.
