No changes are needed.
I'm recompiling apache now with some new modules to help with the issues as even with the IP change the attack still kept coming. I'm looking at about 20-30 mins tops for this to recompile. I sincerely apologize for this downtime! |

You're very welcome.
Don't worry, I will NOT sleep until this is resolved and I will have a full documented plan in place if this ever happens in the future. I got in contact with a sys admin friend of mine and put together a really nice script to block the syn packets and it's working great. Already 1k+ IP's blocked. We're also going to increase the max clients in apache. |

Now I'm getting the Apache page below instead of the home page...
Great Success ! Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server If you can see this page, then the people who manage this server have installed cPanel and WebHost Manager (WHM) which use the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content. ATTENTION! If you are seeing this page instead of the site you expected, please contact the administrator of the site involved. (Try sending an email to <webmaster@domain>.) Although this site is running cPanel, WebHost Manager, and Apache software it almost certainly has no other connection to cPanel Inc. or the Apache Group. Please do not send mail about this site or its contents to cPanel Inc. or the Apache Group. |
