Unhappy ns server outage

What's the problem with NS server recently?

I noticed that H9 is having a few NS outage the last couple months. Usually the NS server at h9 is pretty solid and stable. Did something change ? What's the cause?

Today, Nov 1, Oct 5 all NS outage that I can remember.. not sure if we have more or not though....

I noticed this as well. These DNS servers need to be rock solid - when you lose them, you lose all accessibility.

Hopefully this doesn't take 6 hours like the last DNS outage.

I now have angry customers, it is embarrasing for me and costs me money on 99.9% uptime guarantees.

Agreed. When the DNS goes out, I can't even notify the clients of the outage or respond to tickets because my site is down as well.

I just wonder how much of this is cost cutting? cheaper dns servers, smaller support staff? and I bet there will be another ad campain coming real soon,,,then they will say they were overwhelmed by the amount of new customers.

I hope this is not the case because customers do not need much of a reason to find another host in this economy, my clients are demanding better service and all I can tell them is what H9 tells me and they are not happy.

Unhappy Real worry

H9 allow to spread our clients to any Node and many servers. It is great because we (or our clients) not depend on a single server.

BUT, This is useless, when the "ROOT" out of service. (for at least few minutes)

Yes, I agree, H9 should think deep about their DNS servers, because these outage hurts me (I have 200 + client account on H9 servers)
