Hi all,
When will it be possible for me as a (potential) shared hosting customer to be able to choose the location of the server my sites are on? I don't want to be a reseller, I just want a Standard Shared Hosting account, but with the ability to pick my server location. Thanks, Will. |

Hi Will,
Yes that is totally possible. We're going to have a full integration into our sign up form so shared customers can choose their locations. If you're looking to sign up right away please feel free to enter a location into the comments section of your order. The current locations actively available are: Texas, New York, California, Iowa, Illinois, Florida, Berkshire (UK), Georgia, and Virginia. We have several other locations coming this week. |

Glad to hear this, can I assume that current H9 shared hosting customers will be able to choose their server location at some time in the near future? I'll have to admit, I felt the announcement last night was a bit of a fizzle for H9 non-reseller customers. However, the overall concept is quite unique, and I can now see how this can now benefit everyone. H9 is the premier operation for excellent reliability and customer support in the hosting game, and this new server model puts H9 even further ahead of the competition! Now, H9's competitors will have to play catch-up on three fronts. Not an enviable position for them! Kudos to the entire H9 team!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I know the actual release itself was pointed more towards the resellers but I'm happy that you're able to see the direction we're heading in. We'll have some very nice solutions available for our shared customers which are powered by the Reseller Central control panel. It's been so hectic with small fixes / bug reports we have been backed up the past 24 hours but we will be rolling out the new shared options tomorrow ASAP. Thanks again! |

Hi Ben,
Thanks for the quick response. Bummer for me; I need an Australian server! I'll come back in a week and post this question: Is the Australian server online yet? <hint>Or someone could just reply to this when it is, or put it in the announcements section.</hint> Cheers, Will. PS: yeah, sorry for the unwieldy username. There must be a lot of Wills around here; I tried every permutation I could think of without luck, so tried good ol' hjtfjhfjhgfjfjhgfhgf7 to make sure it wasn't rejecting my username attempts for some other reason and the rest as they say... |

Since Australia's bandwidth are expensive, will there be any additional charge if we choose Australian server/servers?
