Default Free Domain Registration

On the table comparing the different shared hosting plans ( http://www.hostnine.com/web-hosting/ ), I don't understand what the feature called Domain Registration actually means.

All those plans come with one free domain for the first year, so what is the $9.95 for on the two cheaper plans? Alternatively, the two more expensive plans include Domain Registration free -- what exactly is this?

Is $9.95 the cost of domain name renewal after the first year?

Or the cost of setting up a new domain in that account (in addition to buying the actual domain name itself)?

Thanks,
Will.

Only a poster here, but I do not see this offer...

And if I am correct, the Basic & Standard plans require this charge if you do not currently have a domain name.

The others 2 include this but I am not sure what you get if you already have a domain name

Hi,

On the Basic and Standard plans the registration or transfer of a new domain with that account is $9.95/yearly. If you already have a domain and wish to keep it at your current registrar there is no extra charge.

On the Advanced and Professional plans a free domain is included upon signup, this can be a totally new domain or a transfer of a domain from a current registrar. You can also just leave your domain at your current registrar and update your name servers.

The free domain offer is promotional only and applies during signup.

Okay, thanks Travis.

Kobra, I thought all plans came with a free domain or transfer because of the help bubble which appears when you put your cursor over the question mark to the left of "Domain Registration" which says:

"Sign up for any of our packages and receive your first domain name Free of charge for 1 year!"

Good Point!

And one that H9 should probably change the wording on as it does not match what the text states.
