Default Wildcard domains

I would like to use Wordpress MU which requires wildcard subdomains to be added. Is this an option under the shared hosting?

On the tech end, you should know that the 3rd level portion of any domain is handled by the sites DNS server. If the dns server is configured to allow wildcard dns, then any word can go in the 3rd level spot.

Hopefully, a H9 poster will respond to their settings for this....or you can open a support ticket

Hi,

Setting up wildcard DNS is something you can only do with root user privileges to the server. Unless you are on a dedicated server this is something we will need to do for you. Just open a ticket to support with your primary domain and the domain you wish to have the wildcard DNS setup on.

One thing to note though, if you plan to add real sub domains later on you will have to contact us each time you make one since the wildcard entry in apache will cause the wildcard to be handled before your sub domain entry. We have to move the sub domain entry above the wildcard entry to make it work.
