|
I would like to get your realistic opinion about your overall experience with HostNine. It looks like it is a perfect provider to provide "Unlimited" Disk Space and Data Transfer. Also, getting customer to their nearest server seems appealing. But in real life. It is how they put them on typing? I mean, 24/7 support also its pretty impressive.
Before I made my decision I would like to ask you for a realistic response. Thanks. |

Hi! I've been a reseller costumer for Hostnine since november 2006 (almost when they begun).
When I started with hostnine service was superb, I was amazed it was a really great service and support, way beyond anything I tried before that. As hostnine grew support and service began to decline, but I guess that's just logical, with a lot more clients to handle it becomes harder to provide such great and personal level support. Only once I had a major problem with the support staff, but I admit that it requires two to bring it to such low level. So far, I give them a 4-star because they're not perfect, sometimes they take longer times to answer but besides that, support usually answers and solves my problems in just a few minutes (really, not hours, just minutes), they give much more than other companies in some aspects (free transfers, daily backups, etc.) They might have unlimited space and bandwith but they do have restrictions on CPU and memory usage that they don't publicly announce, ask for them before you switch. Also in case you're thinking of a reseller plan they have this supposed-to-be-amazing thing that is Reseller Central, a WHM implementation that let you choose the server in wich you locate your sites. However the Central doesn't have the same options as WHM (far less actually) and they were suppose to upgrade it like years ago and there's no news on that matter. I can say that besides the RC lack of features and that one-time problem with a support guy they've been great. So far I'm not thinking of changing them anytime soon. So switch if you like, expect a couple of issues here and there, but expect a great team ready to help you 95% of the times (it's pretty good). |

Helping you move 5/5 Speed of Support 5/5 most of the time 1/5 on the odd occasion Politeness (yes it does matter) 4/5 Reseller Facilites 3.5/5 Uptime my own experience is not good but others here are very pleased. Just my own honest experience. |

70% good 30% Bad for me so far, they try but their support system bothers me since I can never seem to talk to a real person, the few times I've needed to I have been on hold for over 1 hour and nothing, they do great at answering their tickets even if the answer they give you is not what you where looking for.
