Default Migrating clients to H9

Hi,

We're currently in the process of design a web site template for all the Buddhist centers in our organisation to use. We thought this would also be a good opportunity to move from a dedicated box to reseller hosting. I have a few questions...
  1. Could we set clients up with a subdomain to developer their site in then repoint their main domain when there site is ready?
  2. Also the template would use the Textpattern CMS. Is there any issue with this?
  3. How many database driven sites could you run on the Top package (if they all have caching enabled)

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in HostNine. To answer your questions:

1. Could we set clients up with a subdomain to developer their site in then repoint their main domain when there site is ready? Yes most definitely.
2. Also the template would use the Textpattern CMS. Is there any issue with this? No that is perfectly fine on our servers.
3. How many database driven sites could you run on the Top package (if they all have caching enabled). It really depends. All of your sites will be spread out across several servers rather than one so it allows each site much more resources than normal.

Thanks Ben.

So the development subdomain would be a standard hostnine one? e.g. http://center-dev.h9sites.net

Hi,

Well it would have to be one of your domains such as sub.yourdomain.com or you can always use http://server_ip/~username/ to preview websites before updating the DNS.

You get a "Free" license for WHMCS with a Reseller account.
You must set up your WHMCS for use.
If you currently have a ENOM account, you can link WHMCS to it.

If you do not have an ENOM account, then the only provided registrar license is through WHMCS to Direct1

You're very welcome. As some members have stated eNom is fully supported by WHMCS.
