Default Email Aliases

Hello,

Is it possible to have email aliases using c-panel/H9? For example, I would like to have a main email address: main@email.com

and an alias: alias@email.com

Any email sent to alias@email.com will go to main@email.com

Thanks Folks

This is done using email forwarders.

Default Forwarders in C-Panel indicate Catch-All

Hey Joshua,

I am using the C-Panel Demo. When I select Forwarders under email, the message indicates they are for Catch-Alls?

Am I in the wrong place to setup an email alias/forwarder?

Appreciate the help!

No,

That is the correct area. You just create an email forwarder for the address@yourdomain.com to address@forwardtodomain.com

Make sure you aren't in the default address area.

Note: Lots of features are disabled in cPanel demos for security purposes.

and to 'fan out' email addresses , setup multiple aliases for a single target

foo@domain.com -> bar@anotherdomain.com
foo@domain.com -> bar@yetanotherdomain.com

A poor man's 'email list'

Default McCarthy ?

Thanks for the assistance.

@McCarthySites - Thank you as well. But, I am a little unclear what kind of tip you are trying to pass along to me? Is that a way to get emails sent to X address basically forwarded on to Two Addresses?

Yup! In case your site/server crashes there will be a copy elsewhere.
