gee, after reading the forums over the past weeks, it seems my decision to sign up is a little premature. seeing the attacks and support has slackened off, can any current customers or staff defend my decision to sign-up?

any comments would assist me in making my decision.

support is actually pretty good in my opinion accessing the servers the last week has been horrendous... the server is still up just the access to it is down... small print meaning they can still claim the uptime guarantee. once they fix the accessibly issues... I'd recommend them

thanks, i was really interested in changing to hostnine when i first looked at their website a few weeks ago, now today its a different story..

im using an australian based provider and server atm but they are having problems and the company is a one man show, so support is really slow.
ie my email and ftp down has been down for nearly 1 day already.

i don't think in this case a 1000 man army could go any faster than host9 is trying... thats the problem with clustered attacks

i really appreciate the feedback and i think ill give hostnine the benefit of the doubt, they seem to keep their forum up to date with the problems, so thats all i expect. i understand when things happen but keeping your customers in the dark is no good and that is what i am experiencing now with my current provider. the email problem is still occuring as we speak. its getting ridiculous so i think ill move to hostnine. besides i like to be able to choose the server ill be on (eg singapore, uk, usa or australia).

any last comments before i sign up?

You guys probably don't know this, but before I joined HostNine I was a reseller customer, mainly hosting my sites and a few sites for friends. I know what everyone goes through when they first sign up here as I had to go through the exact same process, I even had my share of support tickets. However I'm working on making things a lot better here on the back end and things should greatly get better as time goes on.

I would say to try us out, we have the 30 day refund policy so if you dislike our services you are free to cancel.

Singapore has been on from the start, however we don't yet have an ETA on the Australia server.

I'll put my 2 cents worth here (because I'm waiting for dinner anyway...):

I came to H9 via Dan - whom I knew before he joined on with H9. He and I have become friends, and to be honest - he's the only reason why I've stayed with H9...

Now, I'm NOT saying that H9 is horrible. They have been responsive (I'd rate them 7 out of 10) to trouble tickets. And I like the RC tons!!!

But, my pains have been with the servers (nodes) going down, and the lack of information that is given to us resellers. The Chat support was great at first, but has been pretty bad (either due to the support software system itself, or the personnel working it at the time - I rate response NOW at 2 out of 10).

Now, I say that because of Dan I stay because I NORMALLY would shop around and get the best deal for the best product. And with the issues raised on the H9 support forums (I've commented on some of them, you can do a search and see my frustrations) - I would have canceled my account by now. I am the kind of person that, if just one thing is amiss in a product / service I buy, I "pick up my toys" and move to a new provider...

With all that (a book?) said, let me say this, "Dan - you have kept me a customer of H9 because I know that I can count on you for the technical stuff, and for your friendship. You're "The H9 Man" bro!

for your reply and honest opinion.
gee, it really sounds as though h9 is having some technical issues and staffing issues at the moment. gee, i was so looking forward to signing up with them. to be honest, it was a toss-up between hostgator and H9.

i heard along the grapevine that h9 is owned by hostgator. is this true?
anyway, i think ill give it some more time to choose, but at this stage hostgator is winning this competition of mine marginally.
