First beef - This is the second SSL certificate I have tried to purchase through H9 and the ticket is on day 2. I have chatted with support before and they indicate this is a 20 minute process to do. Why are paid for certificates taking so long?
Second beef - I tried to do another annual pay for a shared hosting account (the top one) and the system kept coming back with MySQL errors on step 5. As instructed via sales chat this morning, I put in a critical ticket to get this fixed so that I could spend more money. Guess what, no reply. What gives guys? Eric Caldwell Web-JIVE.com |

Update...
Ok, I finally had to call H9 support after logging into my bank account and seeing that the broken H9 new account signup system billed my checking account 5 times for $179.40 (5 x $179.40 = $897, + $69 for SSL cert totaling = $966). OUCH!
After speaking with Blake, he said that Ben was canceling the transactions. I hope since calling the bank and disputing transactions are costly for both parties. What kills me is that per Live chat support instructions, I submitted a ticket as Critical regarding both problem since I have customers depending on me to get things done so I did. The account signup ticket wasn't replied to until after 5pm CST. I replied and back into the black hole. The SSL ticket is still on hold. All this was happening when I used the new account tool to try and purchase a "paid in full annual" shared hosting package. I guess I shouldn't have tried to use the system again after the first go-round. Since it was returning a MySQL error, I assumed it wasn't billing me for each attempt. Bad assumption. What's added insult to injury here is that Hostnine now had possession of (almost since it was in a pending state) $966 of my money and 2 business days later I still have nothing to show for it. No new account and no SSL certificate and waiting and hoping the broken transactions were cancelled. Ben (Operations Mgr.), it's looking like we may be coming to the end of our relationship here. I'm trying hard to give H9 both money and the benefit of the doubt here but I'm only drawing back a bloody nub. |

Learned a few things about debit/credit card transactions! H9 tried to reverse the transactions after the accounting system errors but, that doesn't work once the transaction changes from PND (pending) to CLR (cleared) with your bank. The only recourse is a refund or VISA dispute request.
This is the VERY short version of what I learned about CC transactions recently! |
