Smile ModernBill - If you're looking for HELP

I was having a problem on the install of ModernBill and tried some of help in this Forum and the Forum at ModernBill. Nothing worked. I ended up contacting Joshua who was able to complete the install.

His minimal fee was worth it and his help very very appreciated.

If you are looking for installation or configuration of your ModernBill or just want to skip the frustration he can be contacted at:

A satisfied customer,

I don't have anything against Joshua, but this is a fricking rip.

I signed up with HostNine because of the features they said they have. Right now, two or three days in, I'm not too happy. I ask about Fantastico which they said I'd have, waiting on a license... ModernBill won't configure correctly for me, even though their affiliation with them is touted.

I mean... a comprehensive guide that uhhh, actually works with all accounts based on the HostNine setup should not be too much to ask without having people offering for-charge setup services when this is what I'm already paying $150 extra per year from the host I'm trying to transition away from...

But some call me an idealist.

They provide the FREE license and access to the scripts and also with MB you can opt to partake of the domain name registering and the SSL re-selling.

Is this Modern Bill or you?

As packages are determined by you, it is near impossible for them to also install and configure the MB package - which seems to be what you are upset about.

Negativo.

My statement regarded server environment. Things are different at hosts all across the Internet, and I never found much overall documentation about server operation and how things are configured here and why.

Combine this with the fact that it'd make sense to consider making the standard php.ini be capable of directly working with ModernBill without modification if such a good relationship (free license like everywhere else) is being promoted.

So it's not me, ModernBill, or HostNine... its the inability to communicate in an efficient manner between the three, and me as the new person in the relationship shouldn't be the one to have to fix it. Judging by the other posts in this forum about difficulty, I'm not only speaking for myself.

I see your point!!
But this must be something different with the config of the server as when I did my install it was without issue and I am a klutz at this.
This was last September so much might have changed??

Fantastico works for me. I just used to install phpBB2.

Can you be more specific about the trouble you're having? I'm a MB newbie and I don't seem to be having any problems (yet).
