v4.4 Zend
![]() What directory do I upload the tar file into before unzipping it? And while creating my database for Modernbill, what do I put in the localhost box? I can't seem to find these answers anywhere. And the link on the post below for 4.4 guide doesn't work. Thank You, Troy D. |

I've just been speaking with Ben about ModernBill, and I do know he's planning a step-by-step guide over the next few days

would be nice.
I only wish that they would tell you up front that the "FREE" Modernbill software requires so much experience to install. I really thought it came semi-configured with your account. I am sure it will be awesome once it works. And I am dreaming of the day that I actually see the log-in screen. But for now, I am still trying to find the install screen. Troy D. |

Hi,
The installation instructions can be found on the ModernSupport knowledgebase. They are short but concise. Upload the .tar.gz archive to your public_html folder, and using the cPanel file manager extract the contents. You will then have a folder named 'modernbill' in your public_html, that is where all the files for ModernBill reside.

I finally got Modernbill installed. I found the answer to my "Internal Error" message. Modernsupport's member's area, KB had the answer.
It was the .htaccess files in the "modernbill" folder and "order" folder. I deleted both files like it said to do and it worked. Now I can log into Modernbill. However, I still have a long way to go in configuring. But I think it will be nice when it's done. (May still use your services yet, "J".) TroyD |
