Default CronJob error modernbill 1.5.7

I am receiving the following error message from my cron email:

path to mb/app-modernbill-admin/sbin/runevents.php: line 1: ?php: No such file or directory
path to mb/app-modernbill-admin/sbin/runevents.php: line 2: //: is a directory
path to mb/app-modernbill-admin/sbin/runevents.php: line 3: //: is a directory
path to mb/app-modernbill-admin/sbin/runevents.php: line 4: //: is a directory
path to mb/app-modernbill-admin/sbin/runevents.php: line 4: ModernBill: command not found
path to mb/app-modernbill-admin/sbin/runevents.php: line 5: //: is a directory
path to mb/app-modernbill-admin/sbin/runevents.php: line 6: syntax error near unexpected token `c'
path to mb/app-modernbill-admin/sbin/runevents.php: line 6: `// | Copyright (c) 2001-2006 ModernGigabyte, LLC |'

I'm using modernbill 5.1.7 trying to get the Automation working. Followed the help file...

http://www.modernsupport.net/docs/mo...php?article=25

At first was just getting permission denied.
So I chmod the file runevents.php from 644 to 744. Now I'm receiving the above message.

Any ideas??

Im not sure what H9 utilizes the 755 or the 777 - but you might want to try that. Also check to ensure your cron is being called correctly.

I would do this:

1) Reinstall just the runevents.php file incase it got corrupted.
2) Set your permissions to 755 and try it.
3) Double check your cron
4) Email support to have a look at it.
5) While you wait, have a H9 and Crown.

Are we assuming your "path to mb" is correct and you have just amended it on here?
