I was wondering what version of Modernbill all of you recommend. I had v5 on my server before although it seems most of you prefer v4.4...

I would say that if you have v5.x installed - configured - and functioning - stay with it. If you are having issues then I would install v4.x as this is most stable.

V4 By a mile
Its been said that V5 has not got all the requirements for most web hosting companies than V4.

tried mb 5 for a month, its too buggy and doesnt work unless you have a week to set it all up... even then it still isnt 100%...
mb4 is my choice and is what we are using on our site.

With v5 I found multiple things wrong with it, as well as some odd items such as help text saying "domain help goes here" type of things.
Anyway, after working with v4 for a bit I love it, it is very easy to customize and use. I do believe I'll be sticking with v4 from now on

People only like V4 because its been out for a while and modernbill have had time to fix bugs and users have been able to develop add-ons. Give it a couple of months and we'll all be talking about v5.

I won't voice too loud my opinion of MB as H9 is as big supporter, but MB5 is having some issues and general processes require several steps to accomplish. I believe that they will get things on track once again.
I mean - didn't see the blog pics of the MB Conference? Ben was there and you know he will put some serious hurt on MB if they don't pull through. (Ben has supersonic mojo power) |
