The following is what I see for MB 4.x
Server Name: > your domain name
Set cPanel Host: > localhost
cPanel AccessHash: > your hash

I do not see "HostName"

That is what the error message was.

This is what I have for my Server API: cPanel Configuration:

Server Name: www.website.com
Set cPanel Host: localhost
Set cPanel User: root
cPanel AccessHash: copied from whm
Use SSL Connections: YES (I have a SSL certificate )
Use Username Conversion: User Input

Set Server Group: Group 1, Default Server Group
Maximum Accounts: *
Current Accounts: 0
Server Fill Order: 1

Nameserver 1: ns1.mynameserver.com
Nameserver 1: IP: the ip
Nameserver 2: ns2.mynameserver.com
Nameserver 2: IP: the ip

Server Login URL: www.website.com/modernbill what do I put here?
Username: name
Password: *****

When I Click to Test Basic Module Connection I get:

Connection to mod_cpanel WHM
NOT OK. Double Check the Hostname, Username, and Access Hash for mod_cpanel

Are my setting right? Am I missing something?
Thanks

While you may have an SSL certificate for your site, I believe it may be referencing if SSL is used to connect to your Control Panel. I don't think you use SSL to connect to your control panel do you?

I am on the server neptune. My server name is this:
neptune.myserverhosts.com

So you should put your domain name, although I would think if you put www.domainname/cpanel, it may work.

I also have SSL turned off.

Still won't work.

Is there a step by step tutorials anywhere? Or an actual pdf manual? I was able to follow the initial setup instructions without too much trouble. But the instructions for cpanel are very vague and confusing.

What "Server Modules" should I have enabled?
I currently just have mod_cpanel enabled.

Do I need to do anything with the "Server Groups"?
The doc says:

"If you plan on using the API Queue for automating account setups on your servers, you will need to use Server Groups."

But when I click on the link it says its only for 4.1.x Only.

...?

Server Name: pluto.myserverhosts.com
Set cPanel Host: localhost
Set cPanel User: your_user_name
cPanel AccessHash: copied from whm
Use SSL Connections: no
Use Username Conversion: System Default

Set Server Group: Group 1, Default Server Group
Maximum Accounts: *
Current Accounts: 0
Server Fill Order: 1

Nameserver 1: ns1.mynameserver.com
Nameserver 1: IP: the ip
Nameserver 2: ns2.mynameserver.com
Nameserver 2: IP: the ip

Server Login URL: http://pluto.myserverhosts.com:2086/
Username: your_user_name
Password: *****

Thanks for everyones help!
