At the "Please wait while placing your order..." page I get this error,

I'm using ModernBill 5.2.1 Release Build 2
Any Ideas?

Have you reviewed the error log for the domain? Please post error(s) reported in log here.

Also, what version of PHP, is it the Zend or IonCube version of MB, what do you have in your .htaccess file and what server is this on?

Unless you've installed your MB by uploading and extracting the tar.gz file directly on the server there is a high probability that some of your files were corrupted by using FTP to upload the individual files.

Use the file manager in cPanel (RV themes not X themes) to upload the tar.gz file and extract it. You can rename your existing billing folder to billing2 and rename the modernbill folder (created when extracting the tar.gz file) to billing.

Add the following line to the .htaccess file in your site root to enable PHP5

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php

Then run the MB installation again
