I have not used WinSCP - But what I did for WS_FTP and Filezilla, that both support secure FTP is to try each setting until I located the one that connected. If you use wither of these I can find my outline of what worked if not you can try T&E with WinSCP

Added:

I just downloaded this and all you have to do is setup the ftp session
Select SFTP > port 22 and connect the first time you will be prompted with:

The server's host key was not found in the cache. You have no guarantee that the
server is the computer you think it is.
The server's rsa2 key fingerprint is:
ssh-rsa 1024 94:XX:XX:XX:XX:df:bd:53:XX:XX:f1:5f:4e:2f:9d:XX
Accept and you are connected

I attempted to connect using FileZilla and SFTP but this didn't work. I then tried the other settings and was able to connect using explicit SSL/TLS but it won't retrieve the directory listing. The only thing that works for me is FTP....hmm...ideas?

SFTP requires SSH access enabled within your account and to your IP address.

Please visit HostNine - SSH Request - 99.9% Uptime - 24x7 Support - 877-251-HOST to request SSH access for use with SFTP.

Hi Matt,

Visiting that form I noticed one thing. This assumes you are accessing the site from the same IP every time. Since I do not control my IP (my ISP does) it would a hassle for me (and I assume other customers) to re-submit this every time our IP changes.

Is this something that can be overcome some how? Many hosts allow SFTP without requiring a static access IP.
