I have Directv with a hi-def dvr, they are now offering movies on demand over the internet via cat5 cable.
Does anybody on here use this feature? If so how do you like it? Greg V |

This household has SKY HD+, so you can pause tv, record stuff etc, and I still find myself downloading everything. I hate adverts, and I hate everything about TV.
I still like going to the cinema for movies, so I have a cinema subscription card, you pay a monthly flat rate fee, and can use the card anywhere in the country. This may all be irrelevant to your question, but a Rapidshare account is great for TV shows. Sometimes I buy them on DVD, but a lot of show's they don't sell them in HD, but you can download them in HD, so I prefer to do that. The UK household internet isn't really geared up for movies on demand, my house struggles to get 3Mbits cause I'm 4 miles from the exchange. What kind of internet connection you got and how much does it cost over there? |

I have 10 meg internet and pay $62.00 a month, I am waiting for Verizon FIOS to come to my area they have 20 meg down, and 5-8 meg (i think) upload.
My Hi-Def DVR has an ethernet connection (Cat5) to download movies directly to my DVR, and I was just wonder how that was working out for the people that had this Directv service. Thank Greg V |
