Hostnine took several of my sites down a few weeks ago by switching their IP addresses without advanced warning.
I was told at the time that notifications go out to the email address in the cpanel for the domain, not to the Reseller. (I still think this is wrong -- the reseller should be notified as well). So I went through all my domains and made sure that I had two different, reliable email addresses in the cpanel for each domain. Today, the IP was switched for another site. No emails were sent to the addresses that were in the cpanel, nor was any notice sent to me as reseller. HostNine: please give adequate notice to both the cpanel contacts and the reseller when you switch an IP. |
