Default IP Switch

Hostnine switched my IP today on my biggest revenue site. No advance warning (although they claim to have sent an email). No wait for confirmation from the site owner.

Has anyone else experienced this problem. How can we get Hostnine to stop this practice?

To say I'm mad is to put it mildly.

I think the point was changing the IP address with no advance warning.

Should we all submit support tickets to request that you actually do provide us some "advance warning" before changing our IP addresses?

Thank goodness that I don't use any IP dependant scripts and the only IP dependant thing I use is a SSL Cert for one of my sites.

serrem,
While this might be annoying, your site should be setup by domain name...

colt45,
I am not aware of any SSL that is tied to an IP as these are issued to a domain and as such are portable even when you move hosts/IP's??

Yes, SSL certs are issued to a domain name, but isn't a dedicated IP address also a requirement?
