Exclamation Backup restores via your own backup

This is what we we will now be sending as a canned each and every time we get one of these.

We are doing this due to the time this takes. We do know you needs these done and they do indeed take alot of time to do. If you have read this and are submitting a ticket respond saying you have followed this post and are ready to have it restored.

This will indeed speed up everything in support. Lately these have been coming in at a very high rate and this is to speed them up as I made a script to auto restore them this way.




1. Upload or move the backup into /home/YOUR-CPANEL-USERNAME

This is the first directory when you login via ftp. Do NOT put this anywhere else as we now have an automated script to do these faster. If the file is not there the account will be deleted and so will the backup. This is why this message was sent to you.


2. Make sure you need NO data currently on the account as we need to remove the account to restore it.


3. The cpanel username and backup username MUST match for this to work. If they do not remove the account, recreate the account with the proper username and upload the backup again. We will not change the username as this is how it will be done now.



If and only if ALL 3 have been done please respond back and say this has been done and you are ready for us to restore the account.



If for whatever reason you can not do this please fill out HostNine - Account Transfer Request - 99.9% Uptime - 24x7 Support - 877-251-HOST and wait for them to be transferred by our staff.
