Exclamation Forum Tips....

Few things i recommend need changing around here?!

#1 Web Development Category - the default View Age, needs to be changed, recommend changing it to "show all threads"

#2 (try) this isnt a must have, but it does make forums look better. in the ACP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Default Style -> All Style Options -> Sizes and Dimensions -> Inner Border Width = 0 - gives the forum a smoother feel.

#3 Putting your CSS Into a file, can easily be done. make sure you have the folder clientscript/vbulletin_css permission at 777
(If you would like to store the CSS stylesheet for each style as a file, you must ensure that you have a directory called 'vbulletin_css' inside the 'clientscript' folder, and that the web server has permission to write and delete files within that directory.) Then

vBulletin Options -> Style & Language Settings -> Store CSS Stylesheets as Files? = Yes

#4 I recommend getting rid of the default vbulletin footer, as you have a custom one installed. looks unprofessional!

#5 Since you have no use for the "Forum is Closed for Posting" remove the status icon from the forumhome. as it isnt custom, again unprofessioanl.

#6 "What's Going On?" its recommended to remove guests from viewing this.

#7 "Forum Jump" option should be highly avioded.

#8 Edit your keywords and description, dont keep them default

#9 - ooo i though of one more! Would also recommend that staff have a default signature, which can be easilly added in the templates. thus updated when an admin needed other then having to edit each staff members signature 1 by 1. - even with this they can still have a custom one, - if you get what i mean, it does look right aswell.

all i can find/think about at the moment, it is nrly 2.15am! damn

good luck, need any help? give me a message, ill try explain more,

regards
