Default How come H9 site is not down ?

I was curious as to why the customers sites are down but the H9 site is doing fine, do they have theirs tucked away in a different location ? Also will H9 provide customers any discounts for time down ?

The H9 site is on a server in the Illinois DC. The server is also most likely mirrored.

Yea I know but I had to ask

It would be cool during those downtimes if H9 did something nice for customers like a hand-written letter or something that shows THEY CARE. The extra's go a long way.

An email would have been good too, just explaining the situation or even just providing a link to the relevant thread on this site.

In the past I have never a great defender of H9 on issues like this, but I think they handled this matter in a very professional manner.

You have to take resonsblilty and check these forums everyday, or subscribe to the threads that you would like to be notified on, this is and always have been their policy on client notifications.

I was just building on darumaki's comment that it would have been nice if H9 did, I check these forums regularly, even if nothing appears out of the ordinary.

There wasn't really anything they could do, I understand that, but they might not have had so many support tickets if they had sent out a quick email.

Hiya,

Two notices

Refer to zanass's post on communication, this has always been policy, we are working on improvements for this. Obviously, those have been put on hold while we work to resolve everything over this past weekend

Regarding credits: We will be announcing an easy way for everyone to get theres before the end of the week.

A customer should not have to check the forums or wait for answers, they are paying for quality assurance. Sometimes, hosts forget that, they force the customer to do the problem solving instead of doing their job.

At other hosts, I never had to even think about anything, site was always up and never had any down time or email issues or any problems.

I'm sure it might be nice that customers are patient and refer to forums often and write tickets waiting long periods for a reply, they shouldn't have to, they are paying for service and guaranteed uptime.

I want to be on the server H9 is on, it doesn't seem to have any problems but then I guess they make sure their sites are always up and going.

The saying goes if you can't handle the job, I'll pay someone else to, this motto rings true to any profession.
