Been with H9 since April - been happy overall but the last 2 months have had the need to contact support more than usual, which is usually pretty quick and efficient - but, there have been more and more cases of server slowdown - very very very noticeable - and no response other than "so, you wanna move to another server?" what kind of question is that? How would I know? No explaining what's up, no advising which server is better and why?
Now, I wake up this morning and the 2 main ecommerce sites I have are down - server 500 errors - call support and get told "well, it was menitoned on the website in the forums that there would be server upgrades" [right, everything is written off to upgrades anymore!] - - sure man, I just live to read the host forums! c'mon, email notification is standard - or was at other hosts i've use, Rochen for example - so I gotta put in a ticket and wait even longer - they've down about 10 hours now - and no I can't get into admin - register globals error - send another ticket - still no response - - sites still down in admin, so might as well be down anyway. I hate moving - it's such a pain in the rear - why do you guys go out of your way to do suff like this? Minimal communication would be extremely helpful - tone in your voice that at least gives the illusion that maybe you give a crap would be nice too - but, of course, not mandatory. Now I gotta spend the week moving again - and here I thought I finally found a place to stay! My friend tells me all the time to never ever get used to a host as they're all the same - they do what they can to get filled up and then it's downhill from there - they have problems like any other business with finding and keeping good help - you just gotta keep moving and even better use more than one - - guess I'll have to buy him a beer now!! I am soooooooo disappointed and not looking forward to moving yet again - drat!@!@!@!!@ |

haven't had a serious problem with H9 even back in October, when they offered to move to a new server... i was hesitant... as mistakes used to happen... this time it went simple and easy not a moment of downtime. There is always two sides to every story... I don't know H9's but when i hear people say things about H9, i have yet to be able to come to the same conclusion... when a ticket for me is not answered generally its because of me and when i contact them they fix it promptly. one issue took two weeks, but the got it working. overall... comparing h9 to my last host... they are gods compared to them... if you would have went thru what i went thru with my last host you would agree.

after all these many hours FINALLY rectified!!! but still don't know what happened and still don't understand why a server upgrade influenced live sites to the point where my 2 ecommerce sites were off line for over 12 hours! no explaination, no nothing - guess it's gone from being what i had considered the best to if you don't like it, take a hike! it i hadn't been so satisfied then it wouldn't really matter - but that's what makes it all the more insulting and sucky! - guess i'll keep shopping - - can you imagine, not even a "oopps sorry man" - only blurbs like "you should read the forums" - "posted in the forums" - - but these forums are not structured for easy lookup - is there a list of threads that are server names so you can subscribe to pposting notification for YOUR server? nope - - is there any logical, easy to find info on YOUR server? nope - - but blaming the customer for now knowing his live sites would go down because there was server upgrade which just happened to knock the sites out - which it should not have done - but oh well, guess i'm the idiot as far as you guys are concerned. thanks alot!

all that's good and well budgetman but i've had people standing around since 9am this morning waiting to prepare orders for shipping tomorrow - thanks to nonreponsive blaming feedback from "support" just wasted a whole day of their work, paying for their hours, and still didn't get any orders ready for tomorrow's shipping - - I don't have any expectations of a a trouble free operation - things happen, that's cool - but to be provided such a lacking service is seriously messed up - you can ONLY judge the quality of an operation when they are having challelges - never when things are going smooth - - this has been a determining factor for me I'm very sorry to say because I have always been pleased, very pleased in fact with them - - but i don't wanna get spit on a second time - once is enough

Moved to Feedback as it's regarding ONE single situation.
If you have questions on why we did the upgrade, you are free to PM me or email me, and I'll explain it as I have done for hundreds of other customers who have requested the same. Thanks for your feedback. |
