Default Dedicated Server - the long wait

Hi

I thought it may be a good idea to start a log of my experience getting a mini dedicated server setup with Host9 in the hope that I will get some response from the administrators - as support tickets now just go unanswered.

I ordered the server on the 20th July. As of today the 28th - still nothing. Originally I was advised it would take up to 24 business hours to complete.

I have used a reseller account since March with the company, and have overall been satisfied with the service received. It seemed logical to stay with Host9 when I needed a dedicated server.

By close of business yesterday I was desperate for access to the server - unfortunately support tickets are now going unanswered and I get the distinct impression that my business means nothing...

I look forward to some answers...

Please understand that this delay was due to the data center receiving a late shipment of Dell servers as we told you previously. They did start to provision the server first thing yesterday morning and the ETA they gave us was Saturday morning. We always change the due date of dedicated server orders that take longer than 24 hours to the date it comes online. I'm not able to locate any unanswered support tickets related to this.

As for unanswered tickets, always check your spam folders if using gmail or hotmail. Since we use kayako to reply to tickets, these popular email providers will automatically put our mail in the spam box (anything from a php script they usually do)

Same experience with me actually. Ordered the server on the 23rd early morning and still waiting. But I've been informed by Ben that it should be online in the next 6hrs. Hopefully!

I'm very sorry about the delay. We ran out of stock and unfortunately so did our data center so the hold up was due to a delayed shipment from Dell. Not to worry though we changed your renew to reflect 30 days from today. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
