Unhappy Looks like the H9 team doesn't care about their (x)-customers

Hello everyone,

I've been working with websites for over 6 years now and have come across all types of hosts, some horrific, some super awesome. But Hostnine enjoys its very own category. And it's the only one in that.

I haven't seen any other hosting company which delays responses or ignores tickets they way H9 does.

I purchased a Reseller Hosting plan about 3 months back, but had to cancel it after sometime since I realized that the Reseller plan wouldn't suffice my needs, so I went on to get a Slice. I requested a refund, that took a million days to be processed. However, it did happen and then I forgot all about it.

However, recently, I realized I was charges an amount to my CC via Paypal, and it turned out that I had forgotten to cancel my subscription to H9 and hence the amount was charged for the next billing date. But I had already cancelled my hosting services here.

I spoke to someone on the Sales chat and he/she was able to convince me to go for the Shared hosting, since I wanted a location closer to me. So instead of asking for a refund, I decided to go in for a shared-hosting account itself. Here are the ticket responses:

Excuse me, but this is really getting to get annoying if you're going to ignore my ticket like this.

Jeez,

What kind of company is this? Again, there has been no response and I'm without my funds for another day.

Anyone who's listening, kindly please refund me my payments so that I can move on.

Ben,

Also, I just received a notification about a New Account Information email.

The only way you could fix this is to return the funds to my account as I've already previously stated that I'm not interested in hosting an account here.

Kindly do the needful without making me wait another day.

Thank You

Ben,

Thank you very much for your response.

I understand that there are delays for whatever reasons that may arise. I'm a web-host myself. I never argued the delay in account creation. But what puts me off is the total absence of communication from your side.

I'm sorry, but if I'm a customer, I'd expect my service provider to be in contact.

Hi,

I apologize as the system had the payment marked as incomplete. I am fixing this now

Dear HostNine Support,

Kindly wake up from your sleep, go ahead and wake up your Managers as well.

$60 were charged to my CC-attached-paypal account because I forgot to cancel the subscription to a product I cancelled 3 months back. Seeing that it is an obvious overlook on my part, I thought I'd go ahead and buy myself a shared hosting account with HostNine, since the funds were already send to your account and my CC was already charged with Rs. 4200

However, after speaking to your Sales chat and ordering the Shared hosting plan for myself, it's been almost 4 days now that I haven't had a response from you. The only response was from Dan and it was just a half-assed attempt to pacify me it seems.

So I kindly request the honorable management of HostNine to refund the entire amount to me ASAP. If this is how you treat your customers, I'm wondering how you handle support emergencies should any arise.

Looking forward to a timely response to this.

No Thanks

Hello,

I'd really appreciate if someone updates this ticket. I'm not sure what is taking so long for this issue to be resolved.

Kindly create my account or refund my money so I can move on.

Thank You

Dan,

Thanks for the response.

I've just made an order with the domain name as ppd.co.in and email as preshit@me.com to be set up in your UK DC.

Let me know what do I need to do further.

Thanks

Hello,

If you had a PayPal subscription and didn't cancel it, then PayPal automatically took the funds out of your account. You can signup for a new account and we can apply the payment.

**** Just an Update

Hello,

I've decided to sign up for a Shared-Hosting account with HostNine right away, and I'd like to use these funds for that purpose.

Could you please update this ticket at the earliest so that the account can be set up for me and I can get to using it right away.

Thanks

Hello,

Kindly refer Ticket ID: LEV-494438 where I had closed down my hosting account, and asked for a refund.

However, I just received a paypal notification that $59.95 were charged to my account.

Could you tell me why was this charged even though I have deactivated my reseller account with HostNine?

Kindly refund the amount to my account at the earliest.

Thank You.

Regards,
Preshit
As you can see, I'm still waiting for a response from them.

Members around here, who've been customers for a while now, does the same thing happen for support as well?

Just a little update to this issue:

Nick replied to the ticket saying that I should wait 3 business days for my refunds. This reply from him came on February 7th, 2009.

I still haven't received my refund yet, the ticket is still lying without any response. As advised by Nick, I've emailed managers@hostnine.com as well.
