This might be lengthy as I have mixed feelings in a few different areas. I will start with the negative so that I can end this on a positive note, as the service overall is not at all bad.
First, the sore subject, DNS... Back in September we were left without the option to modify our own dns. We were told that H9 was getting with Cpanel and working on the same type of functionality that WHM uses. Months pass, during which time the only way that we can update dns is to submit a ticket. I guess this would not be so bad if we werent used to already being able to update it ourself. Any way, login to the support system and open a ticket. Get a response wanting me to login again so that I can obtain CC information to verify that I am in fact the owner of the account. I LOGGED IN TO SUBMIT THE TICKET!!! So that is aggravating. From that I would change the support to just answer the ticket if it originated from a logged in user... I would also like to see the DNS Modification ability reinstated. Now on with the good. They are constantly on the search for better servers. I do not post a lot on here, but I do take the time to read what others have to say. It seems to me that there are a lot of people that think that they are adding datacenters because the servers are crashing. That is not the case from what I can tell. H9 has some of the most stable servers that I have been a witness to. They themselves are purchasing dedicated servers so some of the stuff is beyond thier control. I do say that they make the effort to research options. The new datacenters that they have opened in the last few months are lightning fast. I understand that they are utilizing raid 1 as well so that makes me feel even better. I like the fact that they are not affraid to call a spade a spade. When a datacenter starts to under perform some of the others, they start researching other options to replace the DC. I also like the fact that I can move domains effortlessly across DC's. So in conclusion I would like to rate these guys with 4 out of 5 stars. They have great servers with great speeds. Their customer service could be a little more friendly and efficient. Then the DNS, it would be nice to have that restored as stated above. H9, thank you for putting up with me on my frustrating days. (and please get the DNS Modification capability put back in to our hands) ![]() Mike |
