Default The good with the bad

I have to say the interface is pretty complicated and intimidating to the beginner. I found it difficult to navigate. A detailed tutorial covering all of the options would be nice. For instance, in my first package I created I could not access FTP. I had to change the package. I still don't know why.

That said, once I figured out what I needed to do, I got my first site up and running. I am anticipating that later sites will go much quicker and more smoothly now that I know what to do.

I started by trying a migration. Unfortunately that ticket went virtually ignored days past the anticipated completion date. An email telling me the status would have been nice. I understand I was coming from an unusual server which may have been the cause for the delay. Again, had he been in better contact me we could have resolved it sooner. I never did get the update I requested.

I decided to do the migration myself. I got in touch with Blake who assisted me through the process. By the next day I got the job done. My site was only down for one day. It would have been less if I had understood better how to create the package and the account. It's a learning process I guess. Thank you Blake.

Hi,

What is the migration ticket number you put in? I do know a ticket placed in our Transfers department can take 24-72 hours depending on when submitted and how the queue is as they are done on a first come first serve basis.

It doesn't matter anymore. I asked Travis to close the ticket. I moved the site over myself (with Blake's help) and we're up and running fine now. Since I think I know what I'm doing now, I'll be moving the rest myself as well so as not to bog down the system and others can get served faster.

I really like your product and the service I got from Blake. I think the product has great potential and if I have continued success, I will likely purchase a second account for myself (this one is for my employer).

I read complaints from people complaining about a lack of customer service.... it's obvious to me that Host9 cares about its customers and makes a sincere effort to resolve every issue. That's a lot more than I can say for my old hosting account who made it obvious they didn't want to be bothered by imposing a $19.95 charge for a phone call to tech support. Thank you Host9! Maybe adding a few extra bodies to the migration team will help alleviate some of the frustration.
