Default How about security?

Hi HostNine,

Well, actually I'm a HostNine customer and I should ask for this first.. . But Ok, I'm here.

I moved from another company due that the last months their service become unusable due to security problems... server up and down ... a nightmare.

My questions are on system stability, problems with security, attacks, holes... etc etc.

How often does the server goes down?

What can other members say about this?

Thanks for your attention.

Regards,

beno

Hi,

Our servers are locked down very tight. Unfortunately we cannot post exactly how as that would be a security risk as the forums can be viewed by the public but they are very secure. For a better understanding as to how they are secured please email support@hostnine.com so we can explain it to you privately.

As just a user here I can only reference that any system that allows www access is open to attack by that very nature. H9 appears to take this issue seriously and attempts to provide a relatively safe environment from which to operate from.

If a hacker truly wants to get to you they will i.e. the attacks on the banking comminity and others.

Measures here are as good or better than many.
