I've set up a support ticket about this but wondered if anyone else has the same problem.
None of my accounts can send email. I have set email accounts up in Outlook Express and tried port 25 and 26, ensured the settings are exactly like those in cPanel and still nothing. Today I discovered the PHP mail function doesn't work on the sites affected. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on this, please share them. I'm currently waiting for H9 to get back to me. The last I heard, SMTP servers were up and running. PS) I'm on Magellan. |

I am also (crater) having issues sending email. I too have put in a ticket.
I don't know if its comcast changing rules or something on H9's end of processing them. It is VERY annoying... Quote:

I'm on Rocket, I've noticed a few connect failures from my pop email monitor (I use Poppy) and a few connect failures from Outlook Express when trying to send mail (smtp).
But I've also been experiencing a number of server timeouts and "server has reset connection" type errors. I'm not sure if the connection problems I'm having are being caused by my ISP or H9. --added-- Just got another "connection reset" while attempting to post a reply to another thread on this forum. Kinda points to some ISP related problem. Or DNS problem as meltingcube has pointed out below.

If people are getting these errors on different servers than it is almost impossible that exim is failing on all the servers at once. It might be a problem with the DNS in the datacenter.

It's all sorted now, thanks to H9.
