Smile Not So "Entry Level" Reselling

Hi -

Firstly, I would like to say that I am very happy overall with my H9 account both in terms of the products as well as services (in fact, I just upgraded).

However, I think H9 would be doing itself a real service by putting together a package that would allow truly new resellers such as myself to get set up a bit more easily.

The components required for Modern Bill, ENOM, etc.. are very fragmented and it was very difficult to even find the information I needed to get even a basic set up going.

What's more, although I am an Oracle developer by profession, after one look at the instructions for installation and set up for MB, automation, cron jobs, etc..... I just picked up the phone and payed someone to do these things for me.

I do want, and intend to, learn about these items. Anyone who wants to do reselling should. But that's not something I should have to do right off the bat.

What this all boils down to is that I have been with H9 for over a month and only just now have I upgraded from 'entry' to 'next step'.

If H9 were to develop an integrated and easy-to-use initial set up system or gui for a basic set up, I'm sure I would have jumped to one of the server packages weeks ago.

In other words, the money I have spent on having work done for me, would have been in H9's pocket and not in someone else's. And my site (which is still in process), would have been selling already.

Again, great product and service, but everyone involved would benefit from a system or service that would allow you to get at least a basic set up going with alot less time and effort.

Thanks,
David Ghedini

I guess that would explain why half of the posts in this forum are either questions about how to install and/or configure MB or offers to install and configure for a price.

As for being the best, WHMC not only offers a more intuitive interface, it also comes with a support suite that rivals Kaykoa.

Ghedini,

We can all understand where you are coming from on that. ModernBill can be a bit tricky to install and configure.

But let me put this into other terms. Windows unarguably is vastly easier to install and configure. But Linux will give you superior features and unrivaled stability. That is just a fact of software, and operating systems.

It can't all be point and click. And if it is.... you may be ending up with vista.

This would be a different model than what is here....H9 provides all of these tools/applicaions for setting up the business so that one does not have to fork over $300-1,500 for these packages while getting started.

That in itself is a major benefit. Now to actually provide these setup would be over the top and probably not with the package names or prices that one wants

I have been a Linux OS user for the past nine years and I couldn't agree more. Long Live PCLinuxOS!

Heh,

Personally I will never be upgrading to Vista, think its not true. Ask me in 4 years... I beta'd Vista (then longhorn) since the initial releases all the way up to the RTM, and it only got worse. It is bloated, takes too long to install, takes too much resources, has only about 2 or 3 enhanced features over XP...

Take it from someone who loved windows 98, 2k, XP.. Vista is terrible... and personally the dx10 support is just not worth it... Not when the happiest moment of installing Vista was getting to format over it.

For free, I would not even install it.
