Default Ability to give access to stats to other users

My prior hosting site allowed me to create a prived user group to let some users access web stats (awstats).

The president of the football league wants to 'check things out'.

It looks like this may not be possible because awstats.pl is not in its own directory.

webalizer and analog seem to be...

I obviously do not want to give the main password out.

Thanks,

Brian

Hi,

You can always use an outside monitoring service or stats system. You could then provide them access to that instead of the account as a whole. Other than that cPanel does not really support being able to see stats without being logged into that particular cPanel.

Another option would be to use a log analyzer.

You can provide your user a copy of the access logs to use with a log analyzer installed on his local machine.

that would get annoying fast as you would constantly have to keep grabbing the logs and sending it to them.

You could cron these logs to be updated ?hourly? ?daily? and placed into a web accessible dir....and then using a local analyzer app and grabbing the logs one could stay relatively current....Just an Option

Hi,

Just seen your thread. If you are still looking there is a way to show awe stats without actually giving them cpanel access. I have a script which I wrote for our clients to allow them to see their stats as we do not give some of them cpanel access.

If your still interested in this PM me and I arrange to send you a copy.

Cheers
Jim
