Default ModernBill Questions...

Okay, I got Modernbill and up and running...sort of.

I have a couple questions here:

1) As I was going through a fake order process, on the credit card page, there is NO encrypted page --- Is this normal? I thought we had encryption that we could use? DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG???

2) Does this system automatically put people who sign up for your accounts into you WHM??? ((That would be cool))

I haven't gotten through the manual yet and I am sure alot of this will be answered for me....but thought you guys might be able to help.

Thanks!
Todd.

Hi Todd,

For the secure page you will need an SSL certificate. For auto creation of accounts simply setup The API Queue and mod_cpanel under the server modules in the System Config section.

Default ModernBill

Wow, you were able to get the ModernBill working. I am still trying to. Just kind of gave up on it for awhile until I had more time to mess with it. Tell me, was it complicated for you?

Thanks,

Mike

I wonder if I should just go through Paypal for now, since I do not want to spend the money on a credit card account and an SSL certificate yet.

How would this affect my enom ability?

Any other implications that you could think of?

Default Paypal

tvance929,

I use Paypal and it works great. I would really like to understand ModernBill, because I know that you are able to use Paypal with it. But Paypal is working great for me for now.

Default Reselling...

tvance929,

I am only a member here. Your question would be best answered by Rick or some other member of Hostnine that has knowledge of that. I am not able to give that information, simply because I don't have one for you.

Thank you,

Mike

No Hun, you need to have your own SSL certificate for your domain, yes there is one but i am not sure why we couldn't use it. I purchased one via Godaddy, Rick installed the certificate.

As for Modern Bill 5 shsssh! what a nightmare to configure...i want just the basics i am not selling TLD's only space, few upgrades and certificates, but the backwards and forwards to create addons is daft. What makes it more infuriating is the help boxes on the pages, they indicate absolutely nothing. :x

Rick suggest 4 so..if you don't want headaches..

Anyone out there who knows how to configure 5 easily step by step pleeeeease step forward!

Think u should stick with 4 ya know. Nice to see another reseller from the UK, which parts are u from, i'm in liverpool.

As for the ssl certificate, i finally bought one as well, and setup thru cpanel. thing is i'm not to sure how to use it exactly. if i go thru to a https, my browser says that the certificate is not signed and bla bla bla. but that certificate is a generic one and not the one i bought. the generic one goes to myserverhosts. domain so it'll make my site look dodgy. Didn't really need a certificate anyway as i'm only taking papypal for now but it's less worry for my potential customers especially if they're inputting their addresses.
