Hello, I wanted to add a client to my reseller hosting.
Now apparently RC and WHMCS work together on this.. But I wanted to add a client myself. I went into WHMCS admin area - I went to Clients - Add new client. I typed the information.. Gave them a product (for free, I need to test to make sure everything works before having people actually pay) I got them on the server (I guess?) But am I supposed to also add them in Reseller Central? How does it work for automated? This is not making sense to me. I'll get it eventually. Thanks for your help

They have to sign up for it to be automated. You can adjust the settings to automatically create the account when a user orders, after the first payment, and you can choose to manually do everything. Make sure you set up WHMCS to integrate with RC. You can find a guide on these forums some where.

Ok now let me just make sure of a few things. I keep posting this but I keep feeling like I'm doing something wrong.
--------------------- I made my reseller main account and choose the Illinois server since I live in Wisconsin. In Reseller Central, I created 3 packages - Basic, Intermediate, and Advance plans. I created a feature list for both. Put each with a plan, got the cPanel themes right, all of that. ---------------- Now I downloaded WHMCS, I installed it - /clients was the url. In WHMCS I went to Configuration-Add New Server- I typed in Server1 for server name. I added my private name servers (do I just change the name servers in the Client Area to be my private nameservers or is there more to it?) I also chose 'ResellerCentral' module and added user/pass that was shown in the Client Area of HostNine. I then went to Configuration- Products and added my Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced plans again-- did the pricing, all of that stuff. I set up the cron job. Is that all I have to do for the client to buy the product and Get the same packages as I had in RC with the feature list, cpanel theme, and space/bandwidth -- PLUS the features I added for it in Reseller Central? And for domains, I go to a registrar, pay them money, and then I can use them to sell domains - they take the money out of the balance funds thing and I get paid from the customer, correct? I just need answers to all of that... thanks a lot for your help! (Just making sure I got this right) |

yep - all seems fine.
You need to make sure you have put your API key in the module tab of your product. You can get this from Reseller Central -> Account Settings, |
