Fantastico - PHPAuction warning

I would like to give everyone a heads up. I would avoid using the Fantastico PHPAuction software or any variants of the application.

It got my account suspended when it maxed out the server!

It seems that this is not a very server friendly piece of software. I only had about 100 people bidding on stuff when it overwhelmed the server.

I'll use a different product for next years charitable auction.

Thank you for the Heads up and I hope that others take heed.
There are some very stable options especially for a once a year event where you might get a voluneteer to enter items...as usually it is the action of allowing others to enter their items that can crash things when this is not written well.

This is very common with this type of software. I really would recommend away from it also as this is about the 10th time I have seen this in this field. There are a lot of alternatives out there. Check out hotscripts.com this is a great resource site I personally recommend to all of our customers.
