Need tips/advice on ecommerce
I've had a reseller account with Hostnine for well over a year now and have been really pleased with the service. I'm now looking at setting up a site that will require an ecommerce gateway using Drupal along with it's UberCart module.
I already have credit card processing through my business and can use it's gateway for this purpose if I want. After exploring my options with this and other ecommerce gateway services it would appear I have a lot to consider before I implement this. So, my questions are: what do I need to be aware of in regards to setting this up at Hostnine? Do some gateways work better than others? Are there any potential problems with doing ecommerce through a site hosted on a shared server? Are there any potential "gotchas" I should watch out for? I'm just wading into these murky waters so any tips, advice or experiences from others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
