Cool form mail issue

Myself and most of my client are receiving a lot of spam email from their website. Seems like some spam bot are going on the site and fill up the support/or contact form. Is it possible? How can we stop it? Please help

I would recommend searching www.hotscripts.com for a mail script that uses the Image Verification before sending a message to cut down on the spam bots.

probably thouse emails address are on some spammer's list ( if your customers leaves everywhere their email address... there is not much you can do), do what Ben saids, also you can add a digital signature on the mail send by the form, then your customer can configure their email clients for blocking all mails without that digital signature. (that should stops send mail directly to that address without ussing your form).

and also configure cpanel's spamassasin, emails filters, tell to your customers to get a good email client, they should be more careful an filter their own mail.

you can only help a little bit

Yeah what you need is a CAPTCHA. There's a thousand and one ways to do what you wanna do, simply by changing the submit button's name to something obscure will do it.

If you are still having issues, let me know and i'll have a look for you.

Liam
