Default Reseller pre-sales questions

You have been highly recommended by a friend of mine so I thought I would come by and ask a few questions and see if you are the right fit for me.
I currently do web design and support as a part-time endeavour. I do about 15 to 20 sites a year. I almost exclusively deal in PHP/MySQL sites on the Joomla platform and on the IPB platform.
Currently I am not a reseller because it wasn't an area I wanted to get too heavily involved in. I simply was referring clients to a hosting company that had an affiliate program. This hosting company has become increasingly unreliable and has oversold their servers so bad that the MySQL platform is nearly always running at a ridiculously slow pace.
I can't wait to get my sites off this hosts servers, so i don't imagine my clients are feeling any different about it.
At this point I am considering becoming a reseller here. I have a few questions first.
What is your definition of an acceptable script execution time for a well made PHP/MySQL site? I am currently seeing times on my current host that exceed 10 seconds per page (a cloned site runs at 0.03 seconds locally, so I know it isn't the design that is at fault).
Can you provide me with examples of sites running Joomla platforms on your shared servers?
How easy is it to upgrade to higher platforms as the need arises?
I imagine I would be starting at the lowest structure and working my way up as more clients migrate over.
What is your typical pathway structure? I ask this because my current host has some type of cloaked pathway system that wrecks a site that has an app that detects the pathway rather than use a config file.
How is your subdomain system set up?
Does your system generate temp URL's for sites not yet propagated?

I think that's enough for now, but I'm sure I will think of many more questions right after I hit the submit button.

Actually a test account would be perfect and 30 days should be lots of time to see how much of a strain it can take. Feel free to email or PM me the details.

I don't think HostNine does that however you could use coupon code H9 and get 50% off you first month.

Hi,

I would highly recommend starting with our Entry Reseller Package which is just $19.95 a month and resides on a Dual AMD Dual Core Opteron server with 4GB of RAM which we do not oversell what so ever. The average loads on these new servers are 1-2 during high peak hours which is extremely low.

Okay so scoot does not work for HostNine..is that correct? When he said 'we' I was assuming he was speaking for the company. Perhaps this should be made more clear.

Errm Rick, Don't want to be a spoil sport but loads on the Galaxy are ridiculously high. I've never actually seen them below 2. I'm now pretty much used to this and take loads between 2 - 4 to be normal for this server (3.66 at the moment and that's good). It's the very occasional jump to >8.0 that really ticks me off cause it gets sluggish and once, it was actually one of my clients that brought it to my attention. -- Felt really embarassed I must say!

Could've been early days Liam. I probably need to stop looking at the server status as well in cpanel at least to maintain my sanity

I'm not sure where you're seeing those numbers.

That's from our monitor.
