Email rejections from major ISP - Acceptable and ISP's Fault
The slow ping pong match of support emails is somewhat frustrating so i thought perhaps the forums would be a place to bring attention to this issue.
One of my clients complained about not getting any emails from zoom internet (email extension zoominternet.net). they were all getting a bounce back message. I figured this was an isolated issue with that domain but i find that noone with that email address has been able to contact me as well.
After contact support via Live Chat and of course being recommended to submit a trouble ticket this is the responce i get
"A few other customers have had this problem but re indeed beleive there mail server isnt sending mail correctly."
Spelling and grammar aside, i am supposed to just accept that Zoom Internet / Armstrong Cable have their mail server set up incorrectly and that is causeing all of the messages from to be reject by the mail servers with hostnine? especially when no other host i have been with has had this problem?
And then i am asked to provide the tech support information for Zoom Internet to hostnine (as if a couple clicks wouldn't allow them to find it themselves on the internet).
The hosting itself is working fine, but this approach to solving a rather important issue (if i am missing emails from one of the largest ISP's in the area and all their customers) is beginning to make me question a lot of things.
