I too have noticed this many times, and would be interested in hearing the reasoning behind it. HostNine has also put a lock with "Secured Site" at the top of the page... and even if you manually visit the HTTPS site, you are forwarded to the HTTP version as soon as you sign in...

That was/is without a doubt conerning to me...
If someone could just explain how it is very secure, too, would appreciate it!

Look forward to hearing more info...

Was just wondering if someone could respond to this...
I am interesting in knowing how account information is secured within Reseller Central. Not trying to be a pain - just trying to look out all future clients.

Thanks!

Default https for rc and for client logins from rc

Hi,

Would also like to see a response to this, even if I choose https, it reverts to http once logged in. I would also like to see the cpanel link in rc's accounts list use port 2083 instead of port 2082 to connect to client cpanels, although I can change it once in the cpanel, the damage is really done as the log in information has already been passed through the unsecure http/prt 2082 or atleast a choice to use one or the other.

It might not be that big of a deal between port 2082 and port 2083, but is hand holding type of comfort, knowing that we are taking the extra step to try to protect our clients data.

Thanks

P.S. Would be a nice touch to show pkg type in account list.. hint, hint

This thread was started on May 5th... and now we are at June 30th...
Two months... no response? What is going on? This this information not be available for everyone? I mean in all honesty, I think it is fair for people to know how their clients information is being protected. I mean, we are talking about legal obligations and all kinds of other things... so....??

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in a response for this thread. Basically the issue we had was when we forced SSL on Reseller Central, the API was having issues due to the SSL redirect. After playing around with rewrite rules for a bit we finally got it right so you can have SSL, and the API can work correctly.

Again I apologize. Enjoy.

Thanks for fixing the rc panel.

Any chance the cpanel link for client accounts in account list could be changed to use the https/prt 2083 instead of http/2082 or at least a second link option?

Thanks again.
