Sorry if I keep asking redundant or retarded questions, but still trying to learn here lol.
How important is an SSL certificate, and should I offer to sell to my clients? I've been browsing here and webhostingtalk and a few other forums for the past 48 hrs trying to broaden my knowledge, but didn't see too much on SSL. Also, a serious question for resellers...I don't know about the rest, but this is obviously a part time deal for me at the moment. My full time job takes up most of the day, but I can spend about 7 hours a day working customer service issues. How bad will that affect my site not having something working 24/7? Thanks again in advance, and I'm sure I'll be posting more questions soon!

This really depends on if you host for your sites only - and this can include sites that you design for others - many web designers also host for a bit additional income.
If you are offering hosting to the general market then this will impact you dramatically as support is what it is all about - when ones site is down and they can get no response they have second thoughts |

Hiya,
While you have few customers 24/7 is not a problem, since they wouldnt notice. But as you grow you may want to hire a support company on a per ticket basis to handle things overnight. As for SSL, its good to offer, you can get a reseller account to buy good ones at around $30-$40 and sell them at $70 or $80 including installation, customers will opt for it so they dont have to mess with it |
