A long standing customer, stands for nothing with hostnine

I moved to Hostnine hoping that this company would not go the same way Bliksemhosting did, at that time the company had only been trading for two months and the service I received was second to none. All my accounts were transferred quickly any little problem was sorted promptly and everything was rosy!

Alas, hostnine start to get bigger more customers, more profits, little fish like me are no longer the priority, service starts to decline, shared servers get over subscribed. Support issues are not looked into. Live chats usually response when they can finely answer is "well it works fine here!”, support tickets that get answered say "try it now" without any idea of what the fault was and if it would occur again.

I know I am not alone in this view of hostnine you only have to look at reviews submitted to the like of http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search...archid=4219502 and you can see how many people are unhappy with the service.

I for one will no longer stand for this second rate service, which I might add has lost me customers and worst of all the associated new web sites so far totalling over £2,000.

All I can say is good riddance! Let’s see how long this thread stays on here or if it is edited!

How exactly did you have a bad experience with HostNine? Do you have a ticket number pertaining to this?

I just spoke with the chat rep that you spoke with and the reason your sites were suspended was due to the fact that the invoice on file was not paid. If you're having issues paying invoices I will gladly assist you with that but the tech also informed me that he unsuspended your sites for you right away in chat.

This has nothing to do with payment it is all about service or the lack of it during the last 4 months. I don't want to waste my time typing up all the issues as there are to many to go threw and the only real purpose of doing so would be if I decided to stay with hostnine which I am not. I have lost 6 good customers and the associate web work due to server problems.

YIA-852414 still no answer why
IDH-482887 good example of not know what is going on
YJR-971468 site disapeared for no reason
DSU-207398 totale cock up of transfering accounts plus live chat and no urgency is getting it fixed
GFF-782947 another example of "works fine for me"
BTS-844213 another example of slow or no feedback

Such a pity when you had such a promising start.

YIA-852414 owner 99 is caused by apache writing to files and it not saving as the proper username.

IDH-482887 You never even asked.

YJR-971468 waiting on your response.

DSU-207398 Transfers take 24-72 hours in rare cases it can take longer. After all this is a free service. This was moved to a higher level of admin to find out what was going on.

GFF-782947 You where indeed the only one seeing this. We are off site from all of our servers and this was working 100% fine.

BTS-844213 Abuse issue. These take 24hrs or more. After all you where killing the server with that site.

I am sorry you feel this way about us. We wish you the best of luck with your new host.

YIA-852414 : So this was an issue your end.

IDH-482887 : I had to wait for 2 days to get a response and even then it was, "try it now"

DSU-207398 : arh I see so saying we are doing it for free makes up for the lack of urgency! being told "oh we should have that done in a few hours" really means we can take up to 72! how silly of me.

GFF-782947 : funny that considering I have 9 customers all saying they got the same time errors that I got and all used different ISP's and a mixture of ADSL and Cable. so we all must be imagining things!

BTS-844213 : Took 5 days! to answer my support request to tell me that the script had been disabled by you, no email saying we had to do this, which would have been nice!

And you call this acceptable service!

Some of these issues where not even normal support issues which in turn can indeed taking longer to respond to. I am closing this thread as I can see you just want to turn this into a war. Once again we hope you have a better experience at your next host and wish you the best of luck.
